This will be released soon via our media channels, but I wanted to take a second to congratulate those candidates that we are considering. There were many highly-qualified candidates and I was pleased to see the pool of candidates from our community here in Ann Arbor, as well as from across the country. I believe we had submissions from 31 states (recalling from a 7 hour review; may be off by one or two).
In any case, it is exciting to have such an excellent pool of candidates. I wish everyone of them the best of luck and am grateful for everyone that put their name, experience and credentials forward for a position that is incredibly important in our community.
I will be interested in all feedback on these candidates so that we make the best decision for our community. I know it’s summer and many of us are thinking about vacation, but please take some time to participate in this process with us!
